Great work Bill. Excellent idea and nerves to go with it! The effect is an outstanding result. The perspective simply marvelous as it draws the eye down and ahead of you.

nick - i held the camera in my right hand with both ski poles in my left. the camera was on a strap around my neck, but i was shooting from the hip. i took a half-dozen pictures, but the one i posted is the first shot. i like how my shadow stayed more or less in focus since it was moving along with the camera.
thanks for the comments joe and ndigniz - i was a bit nervous to try this but i really wasn't going as fast as it appears.
