I live in the northeast corner of the USA though I travel frequently throughout New England and elsewhere for work and family. This site serves as a quasi-documentary of my travels and the things I find visually interesting.
Thirty years ago I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking. In college I took a few courses in photography and purchased a Canon FTb SLR camera from a local photography store that gave a student discount. The Canon eventually died in a freak accident involving a Vespa motor scooter and was replaced by a Pentax K1000. Over the years, throughout many odd jobs, a Master's degree in Marine Geology from the University of Maine, and a career as a cartographer, I traveled with the Pentax. About ten years ago I purchased my first digital camera and have gone through various models since then. I'm currently using a Canon 5D Mark II.
If you are wondering, the name TURNORAMA has no special significance. It came about rather spontaneously when I was prompted to create a unique user name to register for some long-forgotten website. Someday I'll come up with a good story to explain it.
