This is an abandoned railroad trestle that crosses a small but flood-full stream in a nearby town. I've always wanted to take a photo of it, and choose this dark and foggy night to do it. The exposure was for 30 seconds, so the landscape looks relatively well lit. In reality, it was very near pitch black and a bit frightening to walk out onto the railroad ties with the sound of the water roaring 25 feet below.

What a gorgeous image! It's like one of those low lit paintings, the moody ones that get ones imagination flowing. The wonderful dark tones and smooth texture of the water work so well, right through to the vanishing point. I had to give this my vote at VFXY.

Very nice mood here. Love the trees disappearing in the mist. The composition is very nice with the tracks and the river leading into the image.
