Another in the Grange Project series - an attempt by Jeff Kirlin and me to photograph every Grange Hall in Maine. The Readfield Grange was founded in 1876 and disbanded last year. I hope this fine building will be preserved somehow.

The structure has some wonderful architectural marks. I'm surprised at the spelling of Readfield.

Lovely old house. You can easily sense the history this house emits. Much must have happen behind that door. Both joy and sorrow.
