The Grange borrowed some of its rituals and symbols from Freemasonry, including secret meetings, oaths and special passwords. However, all of the Grangers I've met have been quite happy and proud to give me a tour of their Grange, including the second floor where their "secret" monthly or bi-monthly meetings are held. This is the Overseer's chair, located at the back of the meeting room. The West Minot Grange was founded in 1888.

Great point of view, great picture, Turnbill! The light is amazing & how I love these wooden floor. A marvelous composition! Thanks for this beauty. All the best & save travels, Fritsch.
By the way I did change the font. I think now it looks much better & is better to read.

Has a very ominous look to it. I wouldn't want to be sitting there.

Love the light in this image..and the sense of anticipation..the waiting to fill the empty chairs.
