This is the small college town where I attended graduate school. One of my professors lived near this bridge, on the opposite side from the small house I was renting at the time. Occasionally, late at night after a party at his house, I'd it as a shortcut home. It was a short walk, but not an east one. There were no lights on the bridge and the spacing of the ties were uneven and hard to judge in the gloom. In addition, the swirling waters of the "Stillwater" River (a misnomer for this section of the stream) passing a short distance below the ties contributed to the alcohols effect on ones sense of equilibrium. And, of course, there were the trains which ran on an unpredictable schedule carrying pulp logs to the paper mills upstream. Despite all this, there was an exhilarating sense of conquest once one reached the other side and was safely on solid ground again.

i like the warm tones overall and nice effect of the striking converging parallels to the end of the bridge.

Lovely colors and tones and I like the view through out the bridge.

A superb image. Love the low angle pointing at the twisted steel.

It seems that every railway bridge looks like the same around the world. We have one looks perfectly the same in Budapest, over the Danube.

I like how the eyes can follow the motif.
About the bridge and conquest. Sounds dangerous and a bit stand by me feeling but without the train.

Excellent perspective and the muted colours work well in this one.
